Growing up in Ohio we lived close to a few theme parks with huge roller coasters. Looking back as an adult the thing that all coasters have in common are that simple chain that propels them to the top of the first hill. When your a child you just think this fun ride happens by magic. This is the only way to explain the feeling right now, we are climbing that first hill propelled by our friends and family the proverbial chain that will inevitable send us racing through the most amazing adventure.
In the next 48 hours we will experience things that will change us as people. We will meet an amazing little girl who will be our daughter. We will be joined forever with a new culture a new family. We didn't get here by ourselves and we sure can't take much more credit than simply saying yes. So we gotta say thanks to our support team.
To our parents Rick and Judy Byrd and Tom and Joann Carmody. If we can be half the parents you are to this little girl we will be doing great. For never letting us know how crazy you think we are to travel around the world to get you a grandchild.
To our church family Solid Rock. Praying for us, walking beside us, and teaching us to look at God's will for our life in whole new ways.
To our good friends Steve and Barbara Kisley. Who were brave enough to come over to our house and challenge us to take the next step. Something nobody in our marriage has ever done this little girl will know your story.
Thank you to all our friends who pretty much bought enough clothes for about 4 little girls. You know who you are!
To the amazing donations provided by Xenium employees. Kids on the other side of the world will know they are loved because of you!
