On waiting.....

Nothing really can really explain the feeling of knowing that your child is somewhere on this earth right now and you don't know them. You want nothing more than to look into their eyes and to hold this little one in your arms and tell them that everything will be okay. Families that go through this process know the feeling all too well. It is a strange kind of patience that one must learn.

As we started this process we knew a little of the matters of the heart we would combat. We knew that we would forever be changed by this process. We cling fast to the words written in scripture in Luke 12:6 - "Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God." So much so that we thought this would be a great theme for a babies room. Given our last name is Byrd and we love the idea of our child growing up knowing that God will never forget about any of us and he is concerned about the little things in life.

With that Grandma Carmody gifted us with an amazing blanket a few months ago, that so wonderfully represents this time waiting. Lord willing our little one will soon be resting peacefully in this blanket knowing that God has not forgotten about them.
